Privacy Policy

We collect just what we need to ship your Frigid Rigid, run our business, and answer your questions. We don't sell your data. We don't run ad networks. If you give us your email and ask us to keep in touch, we will... and if you'd rather we didn't, just say so.

This page is the long version of that.

Information We Collect

When you shop with us, contact us, or browse the site, we may collect:

  • Order information — name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone number, the items you ordered, and the amount you paid. We need this to take and fulfill your order.
  • Account information — if you create a Shopify customer account, we store your saved addresses, order history, and preferences in that account.
  • Payment information — when you check out, your payment details (card number, expiration, CVV) are handled by our payment processors. We don't see, store, or have access to your full payment card information.
  • Browsing data — pages you visit, products you view, time on site, the link or search that brought you here.
  • Device data — IP address, browser, operating system, screen size, and similar technical information your browser sends to every site you visit.
  • Customer support correspondence — when you email, call, or message us, we keep the record of that conversation so we can serve you properly.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and ship your order
  • Provide customer support and answer warranty / return / shipping questions
  • Maintain your account (if you have one)
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping notification, return updates)
  • Send marketing email only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email with one click.
  • Understand how the site is being used so we can make it better
  • Detect fraud and protect the site from abuse
  • Comply with our legal obligations

Information Sharing

We share information only with the partners that help us run the business. Specifically:

  • Shopify — our ecommerce platform. Shopify processes orders, hosts the storefront, and stores customer data on our behalf.
  • Payment processors — Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, and any other gateways we enable. Payment data is handled directly by the processor and protected by PCI-DSS standards.
  • Shipping carriers — UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL freight carriers receive the name, address, and phone number needed to deliver your order.
  • Email and productivity tools — Frigid Rigid uses Microsoft 365 for business email and document storage. When you email us, that correspondence is stored in Microsoft 365.
  • Analytics providers — we use standard web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand site usage. These tools see aggregated and pseudonymized data, not your name or order details.
  • Legal compliance — if we're legally required to share information (subpoena, court order, etc.), we will, but we'll push back on overbroad requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade customer lists.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your cart, measure site performance, and (with your consent) personalize what you see. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.

Specifically, we use:

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function (cart, checkout, login). These cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics cookies — measure traffic and usage. You can opt out via your browser's "Do Not Track" setting or a cookie consent prompt where available.
  • Marketing cookies — used to show relevant ads on other platforms. You can opt out via the consent prompt or your account settings.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to our legal obligations to retain order records for tax, accounting, and warranty purposes)
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we don't sell, but California residents have an explicit right to confirm this)
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email us at sales@frigidrigid.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like us to do. We'll respond within 30 days.

California residents: this is your CCPA / CPRA notice. EU / UK residents: this is your GDPR notice. We treat all customers to the same standard regardless of where they live.

Data Retention

We keep order records as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years in the United States) and as long as needed to honor warranty claims and the 30-Day Performance Guarantee. We keep marketing email lists until you unsubscribe. We keep account information until you ask us to delete it.

Security

We rely on Shopify's industry-standard security to protect customer data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and PCI-DSS compliance for payment handling. No system is perfect — if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as required by law.

Children's Privacy

Frigid Rigid is a premium product marketed to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the home page or by email if we have one for you.
